State signal distributor Sentech has appointed a new chief financial officer.

Phili is a chartered accountant and holds a master's degree in commerce, according to Sentech.

“His vast public and private sector experience in financial management, management, auditing, corporate finance, accounting and corporate governance, was gained from companies such as Deloitte & Touch'e, Department of Enterprises and the Auditor General.”

Phili previously held the position of CFO and deputy director-general at the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform.

Sentech says he also serves on various boards and committees.

“The board has confidence that Phili will provide outstanding financial stewardship and ensure the effective and efficient performance of the company's financial controls and systems.”

He will be responsible for aligning, integrating, coordinating and strategically managing Sentech's finance division.

“This will include, but is not limited to, management and project accounting, finance and billing, and statutory reporting, as well as management.”
