Heeding the call for service delivery, effectiveness and efficiency, the Northern Free State District Council has awarded SGA Integrators a contract to streamline its business processes and create a paper-free environment.
With a locally developed flagship tool, Dejevu, NFSDC will have created a solid foundation for implementation of critical operational functionalities eg Intelligent electronic forms, intelligent routing, Web-based self-service, etc.
The project includes implementing Dejevu Imaging Module and Multi-Dimensional Analysis Retrieval (MDA Retrieval). With two modules within the Dejevu Suite, the council will be able to scan their documents and can retrieve them from any PC anywhere within or outside the council as long as they have a browser and an access to the system. An instant access to files and information will increase service delivery, unlock human resources and funds for other projects.
NFSDC, Assistant Manager Finance and IT, Johan Reyneke, says the key challenge faced by the council and the SGA design team will be designing processes in view of future operation of clustered councils which are running on different systems and will have to be integrated across. And he confidently added: "Our main reason for choosing Dejevu, besides the fact that is locally developed, is its powerful capability to doing just that - its multi-platform, multi-database and its application independent. We are very excited at NFSDC about the project and our partnership with SGA."
"The days of chasing documents around offices and corridors are over and we will now concentrate on servicing the people," said one of the clearly elated users.
