Sharp has entered the 3D presentation market with the introduction of six 3D Ready DLP BrilliantColor professional projectors that offer 3D projection from a single projector, says Broadcast Newsroom.

The models incorporate DLP Link technology and use active shutter 3D glasses supporting the DLP Link System. They offer 3D support with both 60Hz and 120Hz XGA (1024 x 768) and SVGA (800 x 600) sources.

"These additions to Sharp's extensive projector suite enable interactive learning and enhanced 3D presentations for , business and entertainment purposes," said Dan Wynne, senior director of marketing, professional display division, Sharp Imaging.

Loffler purchases Techies

Loffler has finalised the acquisition of Techies in a move that gives Techies clients access to the same integrated office solutions Loffler customers have used for several years, states Melodika.

"This acquisition was driven by customer demand," says Jim Loffler, president and CEO of Loffler. "Almost every piece of technology in offices today involves computers. Our clients continue to challenge us to enhance our integration services to meet their increasing needs. Techies will help us meet that challenge."

Loffler works to provide solutions for client needs in integration, implementation and connectivity of critical technologies, i.e. computers, copiers, faxes, scanners, software, servers and networks, document management and workflow, telephone systems, dictation, and call recording.

Xerox debuts cartridge-free printer

After Xerox Hawaii debuted its high-speed solid ink Xerox multifunction printer, the printing company reports that demand for its machine has surpassed the company's expectations, reports Honolulu Advertiser.

The Xerox ColorQube 9200 Series multifunction printer is reported to reduce the cost of colour pages by 62% compared to traditional colour laser printers. The cartridge-free design reduces 90% less supplies waste and reduces the effects of and transportation on the environment.

A study reviewed by the Rochester Institute of Technology estimates the ColorQube series uses 9% less life cycle energy and produces 10% fewer greenhouse gases than comparable laser devices.
