Shoden Data Systems has today announced local availability of Hitachi Data Systems' HiCommand Tuning Manager storage software.
According to Fanie van Rensburg, MD of Shoden Data Systems, this software provides an end-to-end storage resource management tool that fully integrates with HiCommand Management Framework - HDS' flagship storage management software suite designed for policy-based, "set-and-forget" storage management.
Intuitive and Web-based, HiCommand Tuning Manager allows storage managers to map, monitor and analyse utilisation of their storage infrastructure, from the database to the device, providing them with essential information required for managing their storage resources.
From a single screen, HiCommand Tuning Manager enables storage managers to set capacity/performance alerts and generate customised reports that will support forecasting, planning and implementation of future storage needs from the application to the storage device.
