ShoreTel, HP partner

Unified communications (UC) provider, ShoreTel has become part of HP's mobile convergence solutions portfolio, with HP reselling ShoreTel Mobility, which integrates smartphones and tablets with IP PBX systems, Fierce Enterprise Communications reports.

ShoreTel says that adding its solution to HP's mobility UC portfolio will enable HP customers to extend UC and cost-saving calling capabilities to their mobile workforces.

According to Telecom Paper, the ShoreTel Mobility aims to create a responsive and accessible workforce by extending desk phone and UC capacities to mobile devices.

In a Market Watch report, Mark Arman, VP of business development at ShoreTel, explains that IP telephony and UC is transforming the way people work, improving productivity and reducing costs.

He adds: "With the support of our expanding base of partners, ShoreTel sees tremendous opportunity in the coming year to strengthen our position as the fastest-growing and top three player in the US and worldwide IP markets."
