Sibilsoftware launches DynamicPay

Unique AX payroll offering for South Africa
Johannesburg, 17 Jan 2006

Gurango Software Corporation and its software development arm WEBWORKS OS (WWOS) announced DynamicPay AX for South Africa, the first country-specific implementation of its SIBIL Multinational Payroll Framework.

SIBIL was developed by WWOS as a platform for creating country-specific payroll solutions for all three Microsoft Dynamics enterprise solutions: Axapta, Navision and Great Plains. "Although the rules and procedures for payroll management differ in every country, there are enough similarities in data structure to build a common payroll engine," said Joey Gurango, WWOS CEO. "We leveraged these commonalities to develop SIBIL, a payroll engine that reduces payroll development efforts for a single country-specific solution by 50%."

"SIBIL effectively addresses the need for a payroll solution that can be written once and used many times," said Fermin Taruc, managing director of Gurango Software. He said that most ERP applications do not come with a payroll module. Those that do have a payroll component are typically developed for a specific country. SIBIL leverages code reusability to seamlessly integrate with the three Microsoft Dynamics enterprise solutions, providing a payroll engine that is easily adaptable to both specific regulatory requirements and practices and popular applications for managing payroll and business processes.

Built using SIBIL, through a joint venture with SIS Global, a South Africa-based Microsoft Dynamics partner, DynamicPay AX is the first payroll solution embedded in the Dynamics AX platform for the South African market.

"DynamicPay AX can be easily migrated to the Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Great Plains enterprise solutions. We are in discussions undertake this migration and create two additional products," Gurango said.

"This is just the first country-specific implementation of SIBIL, but we are confident that DynamicPay AX will demonstrate to the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem - the Microsoft Corporation, its value-added resellers (VARs) and customers - that SIBIL is a viable tool for quickly and successfully developing and delivering packaged payroll solutions for other countries," Taruc said.

Taruc said that Gurango Software is leveraging its three service pillars - global distribution, outsourced software development, and implementation and support - to globally market SIBIL and DynamicPay AX. "We are looking to productize the SIBIL framework for the global Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem. Aside from software development, we are also handling the global distribution of SIBIL, and are looking to leverage our network of VARs and our expertise in developing go-to-market strategies for this purpose," Taruc said.

Complementing its software development and global distribution pillars, Gurango Software will also offer implementation and support services to partner independent software vendors and end-users provided by Microsoft-certified engineers and analysts.
