The Department of Labour is to sign a R1.25 billion public private partnership contract with Siemens Business Services (SBS).
Business Day reports that the deal has been described as one of the biggest outsourcing deals to be awarded by a single government department.
The 10-year contract includes an IT skills transfer proviso.
Neither Siemens Business Services nor the Department of Labour are prepared to comment on the deal until after the official signing in Pretoria tomorrow.
