Following its strategic acquisition of the Dialogic agency, Siltek Telecoms is co-sponsoring a Dialogic Roadshow to promote the vendor's range of Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) products.
The roadshow, to be held on the 04 July at the Sandton Sun and Towers Inter-Continental in Johannesburg, will feature the latest technologies available in the CTI industry, through presentations and partner demonstrations. Seminars focusing on both the public network and enterprise will cover topics such as Intel Communication Group products strategy, telecom hosting and IP-Centrex, next generation PBX, open standards based systems, voice and data convergence.
According to Siltek Telecoms MD, Michael Aitken, this is a way for customers to get connected to the "Dialogic Community", and to meet other partners to exchange information, ideas and make business transactions. Additionally there will be technical and non-technical sessions for pre-sales, product managers, telecom managers, application developers, system designers and marketing managers.
Dialogic products are used in voice, fax, data, speech recognition and synthesis, call centre management, and Internet Protocol (IP) telephony applications in both customer premise equipment (CPE) and public network environments.
Tom Van Bellinghen, export sales manager at Dialogic Telecom (Europe), explains that Siltek Telecoms gives Dialogic the opportunity to increase the value-add offered locally and is confident that this renewed focus will lead to even better co-operation in the near future. He sees the promotional roadshow as an opportunity for Dialogic to meet and make new channel contacts under the new dealership banner.
The dealership of CTI products from Dialogic was recently transferred from One Technology Group (OTG) to Siltek Telecoms. Aitken says this is as a result of refocusing and consolidation within the Siltek group and that the consolidation is in the best interests of all parties, even though both companies fall under the Siltek Group banner.
"Siltek Telecoms is a focused telecommunications distributor and our distribution model fits the products better. We also currently manage distribution of a number of CTI software vendors that are reliant on the Dialogic cards," he states and adds that Dialogic, an Intel Company, provides the critical building blocks and technical services that enable its customers to develop solutions for the converging Internet and telecommunications market segments.
