SITA appoints communications chief

Johannesburg, 29 Jan 2003

Wandile Zote, a former journalist with the South African Broadcasting Corporation, will head up corporate communications at the State IT Agency (SITA).

Zote also worked for the Department of Public Enterprises as head of communications, and his brief included drawing up a communications for the government's privatisation programme.

The organisation has yet to appoint a full-time chief executive officer. Ken Modise was appointed to the position in an acting capacity in October after the resignation of Mike Roussos.
