SK Telecom sells China Unicom stake
SK Telecom has decided to sell its 3.8% stake in China Unicom, in a $1.3 billion deal that ends the mobile carrier's three-year investment in the Chinese company, reports Korea Times.
In an alternative strategy, the mobile carrier is set to show more interest in the convergence business, which includes distribution, Internet and finance.
SK Telecom says the decision to sell is in line with the company's reorganisation process of its business portfolio as well as to save bottom line and to invest in 3G networks.

Google Wave goes on public trial
Google Wave, a free application which combines e-mail, instant messaging and wiki-style editing, went live on public trial this week, states BBC News.
The search giant hopes the open source collaboration tool, which has been opened to 100 000 invitees, will transform how people communicate online.
"It struck us that e-mail is still the main communication tool on the Web, which seemed remarkable given that it is 20-year-old technology," says Lars Rasmussen, developer of Google Wave, who, alongside his brother Jens, was the brains behind Google Maps.
