The local arm of SkyVision Global Networks has partnered with communications infrastructure provider Broadlink to bolster African connectivity among South African corporates and multinationals.

SkyVision Networks SA yesterday announced it has entered a channel partnership with Broadlink, which provides a last mile telecoms alternative through the use of licensed microwave technology, in a bid to meet the growing demand for solutions catering to businesses across SA's borders.

Broadlink MD Mike Brown says the partnership will reinforce the company's African and uphold its efforts on the business front in SA itself. “By partnering with SkyVision, we can now accommodate their requirements for connectivity solutions across the African continent - allowing us to expand our reach exponentially.”

The agreement aims to provide “secure and cost-effective” virtual private (VPN) and connectivity services to South African businesses and international parties seeking African connectivity.

One of the first Broadlink customers to use SkyVision's VPN VSAT service is a pan-African logistics and distribution firm that uses SkyVision services for interconnecting its extensive network of offices and facilities across SA and sub-equatorial Africa.

Iftah Amit, VP of sales for SkyVision SA, says the partnership is in line with the company's strategy to increase its reach among business customers in SA.
