Small firms fail to protect data

New research has found that half of Britain`s small businesses have put themselves at risk by not backing up their electronic files, reports OneStopClick.

Unicom says that 55% of small businesses did not have a plan to back-up their data, which meant they could potentially lose everything through errors, break-ins or software failures.

Unicom`s operations director Chris Earle says: "It is quite hair-raising to think that 55% of the businesses we surveyed said they did not back-up their data in any way."

Continuity Software has released the newest version of its RecoverGuard disaster recovery testing and monitoring software, reports WebsiteHostDirectory.
