Visitors to this year's Computer Faire will be able to get all their accounting and payroll software questions and requirements answered on one stand. Softline's World of Accounting will present the latest accounting, payroll and commerce software from the Softline group of companies.
This is the first time that visitors to this year's Computer Faire will be introduced to Softline's World of Accounting pavilion, forming part of Computer Faire 2001.
"We have placed our offering in one pavilion, which will make it easy for small to medium (SME) business owners to compare and evaluate the latest accounting, payroll and commerce software in one place," says Steven Cohen, chief operating officer of Softline Limited.
"Daily presentations in the on-stand auditorium will feature leading speakers on a wide range of topical issues and trends including benefits of e-commerce for SME businesses; effects of legislation on payroll; advantages of on-line learning; e-procurement and many more."
To be located in Windows World - Hall 3, Softline's World of Accounting will incorporate Pastel Software, Brilliant Business Systems, VIP Personnel and Payroll Systems, PlanetPastel.com, Mskill.com and Edge-1.
"As the market leader for accounting and payroll software in the South African SME market, Computer Faire 2001 will give these customers the opportunity to view our fully integrated e-commerce offering," says Cohen.
"The solution enables e-commerce integration to many of Softline's renowned accounting packages, including Pastel and Brilliant, as well as integration into online market places including iAfrica, WorldOnline and PlanetPastel. This ensures that our e-store owners have a large online community to showcase their product offerings."
Brilliant Business Systems will be previewing Brilliant Accounting V11 as well as QuickBooks V9. Pastel Software will concentrate on the release of Pastel Accounting Version 6, the latest version of its world class Pastel Partner range. Pastel Accounting Version 6 is a full 32-bit application and includes a wide new range of interface enhancements and features.
Pastel will also be demonstrating their new Help Desk and CRM software application, Pastel Resolve, which seamlessly integrates into the Pastel accounting application.
Mskill.com will officially launch their online assessment tool Mtest.co.za. Aimed at commercial and formal education centre and the corporate market, the online tool will aid users to assess their skills in professional titles such as CIW, MCSE, Netware and A+ and desktop application titles such as Microsoft Office 97 and Microsoft Office 2000. The tool can also be used for custom assessments for client specific solutions.

Visitors to Softline's World of Accounting will also have the opportunity to win a state-of-the-art PC with their choice of Softline's latest software applications installed. Computer Faire is scheduled to take place at Gallagher Estate from 23 until 26 May 2001.
