Software AG recognised in Leaders' Quadrant for Shared SOA Interoperability Infrastructure Projects

* Software AG delivers interoperability capabilities that are vital to the success of enterprise SOA initiatives.
* Leading companies around the world use the Software AG SOA solution to build and govern large-scale SOA infrastructure.

Darmstadt, Germany, 04 Nov 2010

Software AG today announced that it has been recognised by Gartner, a leading industry analyst firm, in the Leaders' Quadrant of the recently released Magic Quadrant for Shared SOA Interoperability Infrastructure Projects1. Software AG is also ranked number one worldwide market share in 2009 in SOA governance technologies2.

“We believe Software AG's placement in the Leaders' Quadrant is a testament to the capabilities we have developed for enterprise-class SOA deployment as SOA adoption gains significant momentum across organisations,” said Dr Wolfram Jost, Chief Technology Officer and Member of the Executive Board, Software AG.

Leading companies around the world are using Software AG technology to build and govern large-scale and business critical SOA infrastructure. “We continue to embrace the growth in the SOA governance marketplace as the number one leader in the space, delivering value by providing visibility and clear guidance for creating, managing and governing reusable services,” Dr Jost added. With Software AG SOA solution, a large Western Europe telecommunications company realised 180% ROI in the first six months. A multinational bank is using the solution to double its retail branches in five years. Also, a US based supply chain giant is able to on-board new acquisitions in less than three months.

Software AG SOA solution includes webMethods Integration Server, a proven, mature, scalable Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). It helps deliver repeatable business and technical capabilities based on creating new services or service enabling high value legacy applications. In addition, the solution features the industry's most comprehensive registry and repository, CentraSite. It helps automate governance processes, making application interoperability and project adoption easier and consistent with architectural standards. Combined with CentraSite, webMethods Mediator offers a smart approach to service virtualisation and runtime policy enforcement, while webMethods Insight brings in real-time visibility to the IT organisation's heterogeneous infrastructure.

The Software AG SOA solution is complete. Along with software products, it provides out-of-the-box samples and templates to help customers get started quickly. The solution includes a proven methodology based on hundreds of large SOA projects and relevant skills and training helping ensure successful deployment. The ARIS solution for Business-Driven SOA management further extends the Software AG SOA solution by making business processes the basis of customers' SOA.

“Software AG continues to aggressively invest in our SOA capabilities, including integration, interoperability and governance,” stated Dr Jost. “Also, we continue to extend ARIS solutions to help customers make SOA the foundation for IT enabled competitive advantage.”
