Software AG SOA 'boot camp' a sell-out

Johannesburg, 08 Mar 2006

Seats at Software AG's 'boot camp', a one-and-a-half day educational programme designed to allow potential customers for the company's new - and still to be launched in South Africa - business integration solution to interact with the suite, sold out in less than four days, demonstrating the high level of market interest in the offering.

The solution, which launches in South Africa next week on 16 March, promises to give users the power to rapidly and cost-effectively create, manage and govern new business processes within SOA, giving them the control they need to achieve their business vision.

This will be achieved by:

* Supporting and integrating flexible business processes across the organisation.
* Re-using and leverage legacy systems and make them available in the SOA environment.
* Managing and governing the SOA landscape.

Says Software AG South Africa director, Devon Dalbock: "This new strategic solution from takes full account of the fact that competitive pressures require IT departments to support business in facing the growing market complexity and compliance requirements.

"It also acknowledges that SOA is one approach that promises to synchronise business and IT and enable business agility while leveraging your existing infrastructure.

"Proof of local business' desire to explore the solution is the fact that our customer 'boot camp' course was fully subscribed within four days. Further events will be scheduled shortly to cater for the market demand."
