Financial software solutions provider SDT has set a JSE listing deadline.
Addressing clients at the firm's annual breakfast meeting last week, director Freda du Toit said the company aimed to list at the end of November. Listing on Johannesburg's bourse would provide it with a vehicle to implement black economic empowerment, she said.
Du Toit added it would also allow it to be more transparent, giving clients greater insights into the company.
She said this year saw it enter a few new markets on the continent and it believes there are more growth opportunities to be had in Africa. The continent currently contributes about a third of its revenue.
Over time, the company aims to provide a greater portfolio of services and more comprehensive solutions.
SDT, founded in 1995, considers its expertise to lie both in software engineering and its knowledge of the industry in which it plays. SDT Financial Software Solutions delivers administration systems for the financial services industry.
