The Professional Management Review (PMR), an esteemed research and multimedia group targeted at SA's top 2000 decision-makers in business and government, recently held its PMR awards ceremony in Johannesburg. Softworx walked away with a PMR Golden Arrow award in the ERP division and was rated as an "excellent" ERP software supplier (for Baan software) by its clients in the corporate sector, coming in ahead of other leading ERP solutions.
Softworx MD Jane Thomson accepted the award at the ceremony. Thomson notes that the PMR award is especially high prized since the award ratings are based entirely upon feedback from customers, users and peers.
"Since Softworx's inception as an ERP solution company in 1999, we have put enormous effort into establishing ourselves as a customer-centric organisation. Our long-term relationships with our customers based on service excellence have resulted in Baan making its mark in the South African market," she says.
Thomson adds that for a solutions-based company to be successful in the long-term, it is no longer satisfactory for those companies to provide good product solutions - everyone does that now, there is little to choose between the four top players - the true differentiator comes from the implementation and on-going support - both areas that PMR confirms Softworx is a market leader in.
Ray Wood, Chairman of PMR who presented the awards, pointed out that the awards are a particularly powerful customer satisfaction index for the winning companies. Organisations are rated by their own customers through an in-depth telephone questionnaire based on a five-point scale.
He added that through conducting this research PMR is proud to act as a "messenger of excellence" in the business, technology and governmental arenas. The research behind the awards has provided Softworx with a number of highly positive customer testimonials. The company was specifically noted for its competitive prices and client support.
