Solar-powered artwork mimics sun
Brooklyn-based artist and inventor Adam Frank is installing Sunlight, a permanent solar-powered public art installation, states PR-Canada.
The project entails a projected sun that continues throughout the night and sets as the real sun rises. This unique light mural, commissioned by the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, is entirely solar-powered.
Sunlight uses a 20 000-lumen, high-definition digital projector. A robotic mirror moves the image up and down the building. Matrix Display Systems is installing the equipment on a balcony across the street from the projection surface.
EVS acquires OpenCube

This acquisition provides EVS with expertise in production and postproduction studios, as OpenCube is a specialist in the MXF wrapping format, a standard in the industry.
Benoit F'evrier, founder and CEO of OpenCube Technologies, says it was appropriate for its products, including MXF products, to incorporate a wider range and especially to benefit from a global distribution channel.
7pds unveils induction loop systems
7pds has unveiled two induction loop systems, states Release News.
The Supaloop is an above-the-counter induction loop system specifically made for retail environments, where there is usually a high level of background noise, making it difficult for those with hearing aids to conduct conversations. The Supaloop amplifier picks up the staff member's voice via the microphone and then transmits it to the hearing aid wearer through a magnetic field produced by the aerial.
Secondly, the TMedia Induction Loop System combines a digital display screen and induction loop system to provide audio-visual information. This enables service providers to not only provide accessibility to hard of hearing customers, but also enable visual information in either still or moving format to be transmitted to all.
