EOH is the second IT company this week to state at the release of its results that it intends to remain listed on the JSE despite a spate of delistings.
Jasco Electronics assured its shareholders earlier this week that it would retain its listing despite high costs associated with it.
EOH CEO Asher Bohbot says the group`s status as a listed entity makes a positive contribution towards securing new business as well as attracting and retaining staff.
The group has declared a maiden dividend of 6c a share for the year to 31 July. Bohbot says although EOH still has much scope for growth, it is confident that it can afford a payout at a cover of four times without sacrificing growth.
EOH expanded during the period both by acquisition and the launch of new business units.
It acquired the business operations of Futuristix from Futuristix Advanced Control Systems on 1 July for up to R6 million.
It also acquired the rights to represent three additional software applications, started three new business units and expanded operations into Mauritius and the Middle East.
"The consistent application of our business model and strategy have been proving beneficial and we intend to continue therewith," says Bohbot.
"EOH has the capability to capitalise on emerging opportunities. It is well positioned in terms of credibility, enjoys an unblemished business track record, is financially independent and is led by a management team experienced and skilled to handle growth as well as change."
He says a major objective for the future will be to focus on human capital development, which EOH sees as its main differentiator.
