Sonasoft releases recovery capability

Sonasoft has released disaster recovery capability for its archiving solution. SonaSafe for e-mail archiving, is designed to meet and eDiscovery needs of organisations, reports TechWhack.

SonaSafe for SQL Server provides protection and disaster recovery for Microsoft SQL Servers.

By combining both the solutions, Sonasoft is the only company that provides disaster recovery, high availability and data protection for archive server through a common platform.

3Par helps Data Intensity

3Par, a global provider of utility storage, has been chosen by managed service provider, Data Intensity, to provide its utility storage solution for instant, on-the-fly storage provisioning to support its service delivery infrastructure, reports CNN.

With 3Par, Data Intensity has made provisioning a new customer a same-day operation - a dramatic improvement over the 10-12 days required with the MSP's previous storage environment.

This time saving of over 83%, coupled with an 80% reduction in up-front capacity purchases through the use of 3Par Thin Provisioning, has enabled Data Intensity to maintain a competitive pricing structure in a competitive market.

BTP completes network migration

Business Technology Partners (BTP), an IT consulting firm, has partnered with Human Rights First (HRF) to integrate, design and migrate HRF's technology network, reports Centre Daily Times.

BTP worked closely with HRF's IT team to migrate their communications network from outsourced, hosted solutions to a new and improved technology infrastructure that is now managed internally and is more cost-effective for the organisation.

The project incorporated a new business continuity programme, wide area network redesign linking both HRF office locations, implementation of a high-availability Internet gateway, movement of all servers and computer systems into a new Microsoft domain structure and the upgrade of the messaging environment from a hosted solution to an onsite Microsoft Exchange 2007 platform.
