
Sony intros line of e-readers
Sony Electronics has unveiled a line of digital Readers, including the Reader Pocket Edition, Reader Touch Edition and, in the US, wireless Reader Daily Edition, reports CBR Online
The models of Readers features improved optical touch screen technology designed for digital reading; and E-Ink Pearl electronic paper displays, which offers a paper-like display that is readable in direct sunlight.
The Reader Touch Edition features a 6-inch full touch screen and an intuitive design with 2GB onboard memory.
LG smartphones get Tegra 2 chips
LG has announced a deal with Nvidia to bring the powerful Tegra 2 processor to its mobile phone range later this year, says Tech Radar.
LG is promising that the Tegra 2 chips will be part of its Optimus range of mobile phones, with a UK release date set for Q4 this year.
The Tegra 2 chips will see the first handsets with dual core CPUs, as well as low-power GPUs for better graphical reproduction and 1080p video processing to boot.
HTC preps GSM, CDMA phone
Phone manufacturer HTC is readying a dual radio smartphone that should be just the thing for travelers, writes The Inquirer.
The phone, which has both GSM and CDMA radios, was spotted at the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) getting a once over before approval.
The model at the FCC looks like it'll be off to US mobile operator Verizon though with both radios it could be used on the AT&T or T-Mobile networks as well.
