Infineta Systems has introduced the Velocity Dedupe Engine, designed for high-speed enterprise data centre connections, says Business Wire.
Velocity Dedupe Engine forms a hardware-based data reduction technology that increases the throughput, scalability and bandwidth capacity for addressing traffic between data centres.
“We are at the doorstep of a major shift in data centre architecture where the demarcation line separating geographically dispersed data centres is gradually being blurred at both the network and storage layers,” says Joe Skorupa, Gartner research VP of data centre transformation and security.
