SpeechStorm adds visual experience

SpeechStorm, a provider of phone self-service solutions for contact centres, plans to unveil a new suite of visual interactive voice response (IVR) applications which, combined with the already familiar voice-based IVR, will add a visual experience for callers, states SourceWire.

Enterprises can now offer customers an intuitive way to transact with them using a video call on their mobile phone to give a visual representation of their service options.

Adding visualisation to traditional IVR reduces the time people spend listening to full menu options before making a choice.

Self-service network management company NCR releases NCR Aptra Vision, its new management and decision support service targeted at financial companies and other institutions that deploy self-service platforms, reports The Paypers.

Aptra Vision aims to correlate data from multiple sources and provide companies with an integrated tool that monitors and assesses the performance of their self-service and assisted-service channels.

As a result, data is made available to all users of a financial institution through a user interface that permits the evaluation of the events that occur in the institution's self-service network, and of consequences of those events on consumers.

More than 100 000 self-service devices in more than 40 countries on all five continents are administered and monitored with the help of Wincor Nixdorf's ProView software, says ABN Newswire.

The machines range from ATMs, transaction terminals, account statement printers, postage stamp and transportation ticket terminals all the way to cash deposit systems and kiosks.

ProView has been adapted to address the particular requirements of self-service equipment of all kinds. All transaction data is analysed by the ProView agent on the terminal level and is transferred to the ProView server for processing and output.
