Libra 4.0 is the new, multi-application version of the voice recording (VR) family of products from Spescom DataVoice.
Building on the achievements of Orion and previous Libra systems, it provides a solution for businesses from SME to enterprise.
"The Libra technology is much more than just a recording solution," says Charl van der Merwe, product manager at Spescom DataVoice. "While its primary function is recording of customer transactions from any type of telephony system, it also provides storage, archiving, management and analysis of these important records.
"Improving on the previous version, we have added tightly integrated screen recording which can capture live, full-motion recording of the agent's screen - not just screen shots. This ability, to play back a call and all screen activity, is essential for call centre management. A further advantage is that Libra is also now tightly integrated with our Qnique performance management solution, offering direct access to voice and screen recordings to significantly enhance the ability to manage quality in a contact centre.
"Libra 4.0 offers world-leading integrated speaker recognition, verification and word-spotting features, which make it the most advanced product for recording and customer transaction management. The speech analysis and performance management applications, as well as screen recording, can all be deployed on a single platform - a feat no other vendor can emulate.
"Libra 4.0 has a full range of features to enable remote management, including e-mailing of information and the ability to annotate and tag records as needed. The product is built on a Microsoft Windows platform, which extends its flexibility, especially in areas such as choice of storage media and the addition of other applications. This can also reduce IT infrastructure and management costs.
"Probably the greatest advantage for customers is that the Libra system can be grown from a small SME installation right up to large enterprise deployments, while remaining very cost-effective. Libra gives customers a future-proof foundation for later expansion.
"The Libra system can handle anything from four up to 120 ports - that is simultaneous recordings - in the standard version. This capacity will soon double as the new multi-core processors become common.
"For large deployments, it is very easy to install multiple Libra recorders and integrate them with the Spescom DataVoice Nexus technology. From the user viewpoint, this appears as a single system, even though it might involve thousands of recording ports running on multiple recorders.
"Libra 4.0 includes built-in integration for just about any existing telephony infrastructure, including traditional TDM, VOIP and radio. This allows DataVoice to deploy systems in a large variety of environments," concludes Van der Merwe.
