Spescom MeasureGraph introduces NetTool

Fluke's Networks Division, has introduced a new test tool. The NetTool Connectivity Tester is designed to address the testing needs of anyone who troubleshoots desktop-to-network connectivity.

The NetTool is a compact, cost-effective tool for desktop to network connectivity testing and frontline network troubleshooting. The NetTool will aid support IT technicians making fast and thorough moves, adds and changes.

Key features and Benefits:

  • Service identification of network connections - Ethernet, Token Ring, phone, ISDN or inactive

  • PC network configuration information - IP address, default gateway, email and web servers

  • Link pulse characteristics (speed, polarity, duplex, signal level, and receive pair information

  • A Problem Log that lists addressing issues, email and web problems

  • Network health monitoring for frames sent, utilisation, broadcasts, errors and collisions

  • Idientifies addressing mismatches between the PC and network, and the presence of unwanted protocols

  • Cable-testing capabilities, eliminating and the need for a separate, basic cable tester
