Spescom Software's alliance with DocQNet is sealed with $264 000 in orders including SAA

Johannesburg, 12 Apr 2006

Spescom Software, Inc today announced that DocQNet - a South African systems integrator - has been appointed a strategic partner for sub-Saharan Africa.

Spescom Software Inc is the US operation of JSE-listed Spescom Limited.

DocQNet placed initial orders with Spescom valued at $264 000, including one from South African Airways (SAA).

DocQnet developed a powerful corporate compliance management application using the extensive functionality of Spescom's eB software suite. SAA and the Gauteng Provincial Department of Transport have implemented this solution.

The company is also busy developing a project for corporate compliance management on behalf of the Botswana Development Corporation in Gaborone. In addition to new business, DocQnet will support existing Spescom customers, like De Beers Consolidated Mines, Denel Aviation, Absa and Saab Grintek.

"Given the many important Spescom customers and new opportunities in the South African region, we are fortunate to have a skilled and professional organisation like DocQnet as a key international partner," says Keith Stentiford, CEO of Spescom Software.

"The relationship with DocQnet is a perfect example of how Spescom is expanding its market reach through strategic partnerships, domestic and international. The company has shown how Spescom's eB suite of products may be used effectively to address the fast growing market of corporate compliance management."

Mike Rolfe, CEO of DocQnet, adds: "The power and flexibility of eB has created tremendous market opportunity for DocQnet. The South African economy is expanding at a record rate, offering enormous scope for the delivery of high quality solutions based on eB, as evidenced by orders from SAA and other corporate concerns."
