JSE-listed Square One Solutions Group, Value Added Reseller for SANRAD iSCSI IP-based SAN storage solutions, has beefed up its support and maintenance offerings to users of SANRAD systems.
With SANRAD V-Switch products, a minimum maintenance contract of one year is mandatory. This includes remove and repair/replace, software upgrades and 24x7 phone in support as part of the SANRAD sale agreement.
Luca Ambrosi, Square One's manager of storage solutions, says the company has now been allocated spare V-Switches which it retains at its own cost in order to offer a new maintenance hardware support service on V-Switches.
Several options are available, ranging from a 24hrs, seven days a week response, repair/replace and return to service within six hours (24x7x6) for mission-critical storage networks at the top end of the package, down to a non-critical option offering a 9 hours five days a week response within 4 hours (9x5x4).
"We have a support option to suit all end-users' requirements," says Ambrosi. "Should a hardware failure occur in a business-critical environment we are now able to quickly install one of the V-switches we are holding to minimise downtime for the customer. The faulty switch can then be removed, repaired/replaced and reinstalled. This option gives business-critical environments peace of mind."
In the South African market iSCSI IP-based SAN storage solutions are making headway with SANRAD V-Switches introducing all-in-one iSCSI storage networking for full availability and seamless management of stored information across standard Ethernet networks.
The technology offers complete storage continuity solutions that are easy to deploy with excellent performance at much lower cost than traditional FC-based SAN systems.
Ambrosi says iSCSI V-Switches combine a truly interoperable, multiple-port iSCSI gateway with comprehensive storage services for full block-based data access, network volume management, storage continuity and traffic optimisation.
