Square One's Marking Solutions will demonstrate a fresh, innovative and cost-effective way to integrate the printing and application of case labels for the wine industry at the bi-annual Intervitis Interfructa Southern Africa exhibition, being held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre at the end of July.
Wine farmers and members of the wine industry will be able to see how on-the-line print and apply technology will save time and money and bring bottling and packing processes right up to date, when Marking Solutions demonstrate the new EIDOS printing product from Italy at the exhibition - which used to be known as the Wine Farmers and Fruit Growers exhibition.
Negating the need to pre-print case labels off line, as is currently the case, this technology will reduce waste, label stock holding and manual errors in the packing process. By changing dates and times in the print software, there is never any waste or errors, and by integrating the print and apply process into the line, significant time-savings can be achieved.
Marking Solutions will also show how increasingly stringent coding legislation from the EU can easily be accommodated in their wine export offerings. As international rules on wine identification become more complex, the export market is growing significantly. As such, a flexible and sophisticated coding solution is required that guarantees the legibility of the marking so as to maximise revenue.
More innovative laser printing offerings from Solaris Laser of Poland will also be on show for members of the wine and fruit industry who are looking for an alternative to ink jet solutions, with its associated consumables expenses and, in many cases, messy operation.
