The local office of Seagate Software has confirmed its plans to grow the number of enterprise-level business partners to deliver high-end reporting solutions to players in the corporate, manufacturing, telecoms and financial market sectors.
Inthiaz Cassimjee, country manager, Africa and Middle East at Seagate Software, says that with the rising number of South African companies implementing or investigating the viability of conducting e-business with suppliers, partners and customers, the demand for enterprise-level reporting solutions has grown.
"As organisations struggle to manage and deliver valuable information to end users, they find themselves solving very similar problems with very different tools and technologies leading to a bewildering array of tools and applications," he says
"At the end of the day, organisations need a complete solution to their information management problems that provides a foundation on which they can build a range of different web-based applications that provide information access to end users, he explains.
"To meet this need Seagate Software wants to recruit additional business partners, with the necessary skills set in place, to operate on enterprise-level implementations," he says, emphasising that this partner base would only sell enterprise solutions.
According to Cassimjee, the company is looking to push two product ranges, optimised for use across an enterprise-wide architecture. "Seagate Software`s Crystal Enterprise, is our soon-to-be-released Web-based enterprise reporting solution. It`s designed to manage the delivery of information from e-business applications and to maximise the return on investment in data," he says.
Seagate Software`s Crystal Analysis 8 also looks set to play a role in supporting the need for report tools in this arena.
