Staffware, a global leader in business process management (BPM) software, is listed in the "Leaders" quadrant in Gartner`s first Magic Quadrant covering the BPM pure-play market. The study assesses over 60 vendors on the completeness of their vision and their ability to execute. Only four companies occupy the "Leaders" quadrant of the chart.
The Gartner study recognises and gives credibility to the growing importance of BPM technologies in today`s IT market. The Gartner Magic Quadrants evaluate vendors in specific markets by assessing each company`s technology, service, support, features, functionality and viability. Companies are positioned in the quadrant based on their vision and ability to execute on that vision. According to Gartner, leaders are vendors who are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction, and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.
John O`Connell, Chairman and CEO of Staffware, commented: "We are delighted with our position in this first ever study by Gartner as we believe it accurately reflects our position in the fast emerging BPM market. Recent customer contracts for our Staffware Process Suite corroborate Gartner`s assessment. Public and commercial organisations around the globe are utilising Staffware to improve their productivity, tighten compliance and controls, while improving service to the citizen and customers alike.
"BPM is a very demanding environment as it requires a combination of technology, experience and focus to be effective. I suspect many vendors will be challenged to convert their BPM claims to enterprise capable solutions, handling both high-volume, straight-through and more complex, human-based, processes. Our workflow heritage stands us in good stead in this respect, allied to the major investment we have made in BPM product developments in the last two years, as encapsulated in the Staffware Process Suite," O`Connell continued.
Jon Pyke, Chief Technology Officer of Staffware, said: "Staffware Process Suite Version 2, released in April, contains a number of unique features, such as Process Orchestration and Prediction which have undoubtedly helped us to achieve our positioning by Gartner. These state of the art features are underpinned by our unrivalled scalability - V2 has been benchmarked at approx 8 million `straight through` transactions per hour - which addresses the likely needs of the most demanding enterprise-wide applications. Inclusion of support for Web services and our .Net strategy has also been well received by customers, partners and analysts alike."
