The Italian Ministry of Finance is deploying 10,000 Staffware workflow licenses in the largest workflow project ever undertaken within the Italian Public Administration system. The implementation will be carried out by systems integration house SOGEI, following an order placed through Staffware`s partner, Industria Italiana Informatica earlier this year.
All 400 regional tax offices will use Staffware to automate the existing paper-based processes undertaken to initiate and complete legal proceedings when tax returns are either falsely completed or incomplete.
The Staffware solution will provide complete back office integration throughout the organisation, providing the following benefits:
increased levels of productivity and efficiency through the rationalisation of back office functions
delivering higher quality customer service
speeding up the current legal process behind the tax collection process
providing access to up-to-date management information
The integration of Staffware will form the underlying infrastructure for the taxation office, greatly improving the way it carries out its core business. In an operation known as F.I.S.CO., the application will be further extended to manage all business processes based around personal taxation, including investigation, monitoring, controlling and planning.
Staffware will be fully integrated into the Tax Office desktop and will be rolled out using Staffware 2000 for Microsoft`s SQL Server.
