Outsourcing will come under the spotlight at this month's Enterprise Architecture (EA) Forum, which takes place in Centurion this morning, and in Sandton on Wednesday.
Sarel van der Westhuizen, head of strategy and business architecture in the Office of Planning and Implementation at Standard Bank, will present on the drivers and constraints for business process outsourcing of corporate and investment banking operations. He will also look at how enterprise architecture can be used to guide outsourcing decisions.
The EA Forum is a social network event hosted by The Open Group in SA. It was started in 2004 and takes place every second month or so in the major centres, with one event each in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town. At the EA Forum, industry leaders share their experiences and knowledge of architecture and related topics. Real-world case studies highlight how business problems are solved using the discipline and practice of architecture.
"We would like to encourage people in the enterprise architecture space to attend," says Stuart Macgregor, CEO of The Open Group - SA. "The EA Forums offer an excellent opportunity for peers, colleagues and industry players to network and collaborate."
This morning's event takes place at Telkom's Wisteria Auditorium, while Wednesday's event will be hosted at the FNB Learning Centre in Sandton.
