StatSoft is proud to be the official sponsor of the Team Excellence Competition at the American Society for Quality's (ASQ) annual World Conference on Quality and Improvement (http://wcqi.asq.org/). The World Conference will be held from 16 to 18 May 2005 in Seattle, Washington at the Washington State Convention and Trade Centre.
StatSoft will hold the official public showcase of the PROCEED enterprise manufacturing intelligence software at this year's American Society for Quality's World Conference on Quality and Improvement. The PROCEED software is based on the integration of Caterpillar's patent-pending analytic processes powered by the industry-leading suite of STATISTICA enterprise analytics software. Caterpillar's cutting-edge analytic processes are used to effectively simulate, predict and optimise the outcome of complex manufacturing processes."

The International Team Excellence Competition is the only international team recognition process of its kind in the country. Since 1985, 719 teams from the US, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and China have participated in this outstanding process.
The Competition Process
Participating teams are asked to submit a 25-minute video explaining their project and process. These presentations are then judged on how well they meet 36 team evaluation criteria. The criteria rate everything necessary for team success-from the project's impact on organisational goals, project selection and purpose-to-action planning, project buy-in, implementation, progress and results. In the preliminary round, the video entries are carefully evaluated by a panel of judges organised into several reviewing stations across the US. These judges, all team process experts, represent diverse experience and industries and complete rigorous training that ensures consistency in their evaluations.
Selection
Qualifying teams (finalists) will be selected for the live presentations at ASQ's Annual Conference. All finalists will be recognised and receive trophies throughout the general sessions. The three highest scoring teams will also receive the coveted gold, silver and bronze awards. These final winners will be announced as part of the intense excitement of the closing session.
