Steelhenge expands portfolio
Steelhenge Consulting has announced the addition of a specialised ICT continuity management service, reports ClickPress.
The new service is compliant with the new British Standard BS25777 and designed to integrate into the established Steelhenge business continuity offerings.
All aspects of Steelhenge's business continuity consulting are now provided in-house, following the recruitment of Doug Kettle, a senior consultant with an extensive background in ICT continuity.
SMEs upgrade backup tech
The Project Network, an A-Server partner based in the UK, is delivering remote management and high availability data backup and recovery services to a growing community of SMEs including several football clubs, according to TMCnet.
A-Server is a supplier of cloud computing, data backup and recovery solutions with a growing channel, which now includes 250 partners.
Brenden Stoltz, service delivery manager at The Project Network, says, "Many of our customers who rely on us for tape-based backup systems, offsite storage and support had requested an alternative to reduce management overheads and to allow faster data restoration in the event of a problem."
IBM eases storage woes
IBM has made several improvements to its System Storage DS8000 and XIV Storage System, aimed at helping enterprises deal with the explosive growth in data and information, reports ITnews.
The enhancements promise to deliver better performance, security, manageability and business continuity, according to IBM.
"Businesses today are faced with addressing core information requirements around compliance, availability, retention and security, while also maximising the value in their current storage infrastructure," says Barry Rudolph, VP of system storage at IBM.
