Electronic settlement house Strate has appointed a chief operating officer in the wake of its merger with the Universal Exchange Corporate (Unexcor) and the Central Depository (CD).
Erna Solomon, formerly a partner and director at Deloitte Consulting, will report to CEO, Monica Singer.
"She will be a crucial element of Strate`s management team as we continue to enhance our operating efficiency and proceed to bed down the merger with Unexcor and CD now that Strate will settle bonds and money market instruments," Singer says.
Solomon, who has an MSc in computer science, assisted Strate in her previous capacity with its financial modelling strategy for the creation of a central securities register.
