As part of its Enterprise Development partnership, Striata has developed a new Web site for Khuphulanani Training Institute aimed at attracting more individual and corporate training business. Khuphulanani Training Institute has a fully computerised training centre near Alexandra. It provides corporate training and offers the youth in the area basic computer and virtual workplace skills to assist them in the job market.
"Although we do not offer Web development services commercially, we felt that we could add significant value to Khuphulanani by upgrading their Web presence," says Alison Treadaway, Managing Director at Striata SA. "The site showcases their training solutions, their sponsors, testimonials from grateful learners, as well as an easy way to contact the institute for further information."
In addition to Web site development services, as a beneficiary of Striata's Enterprise Development funding, Khuphulanani Managing Director, Khathu Maphari, is receiving personal and business mentorship through Raizcorp. Says Maphari: "We are delighted about the launch of our new Web site, and we look forward to continuing to produce meaningful outcomes in our partnership with Striata."
Treadaway is already looking at the next joint project which aims to develop a basic HTML course to be delivered at the training institute. "Our intention is to encourage school leavers to consider a career in Web development, and ultimately to increase the pool of resources available with this skill set," she concludes.
