Shocked Technology Solutions (STS) recently appointed Shafiq Meyer to head up its SAP software factory.
Meyer's role will be to lead the SAP competency centre at STS. With a background of numerous ERP implementations over the last 12 years, his appointment brings substantial leadership in the SAP technical arena at STS.
According to Meyer, the need to create and maintain SAP capacity is crucial to many existing clients. He further notes that his focus at STS will be empowerment, sustainability and investigating new ways of delivering ERP services.
STS started its initiative to create a SAP competency at the beginning of 2003. Says Allie Khan, MD of STS: "During the next five years an increasing number of public and private sector customers will need assistance with ERP implementations and support. STS is proactively staffing its team with skilled consultants to drive our vision into the future. "
Meyer concludes: "We want to reorganise the demographics of consultants, so as to create sustainability and opportunity for historically disadvantaged individuals (HDIs). There is a tremendous amount of hidden talent among HDIs that needs to be channelled into business-critical systems."
