Boston-Power has unveiled technology that extends the life of notebook computer batteries while making them faster to charge and has disclosed the findings of a Harris Interactive poll, says ZDnet.

The poll reveals that more than a third of notebook computer users would be willing to pay more for batteries that are better for the environment while 54% say they would pay more for a battery that charged more quickly.

Approximately 25% of users had recycled their old notebook battery, compared with 4% who had tossed an old battery into the trash.
