Support crucial to project success
A recent global research study shows even when organisations have implemented project management tools, templates and methodologies, project success can remain dismal because the organisational culture is not supportive.
A recent survey by PriceWaterhouseCoopers of 10 640 projects, valued at $7.2 billion, shows only 2.5% of global businesses achieve 100% project success and over 50% of global business projects fail, according to a press release.
According to the Business Improvement Architects study, "From Crisis to Control: A New Era in Strategic Project Management", 60% of respondent organisations that had dismantled their project management office indicated the reason as "organisational culture not supportive".
