Supporting the unemployed graduate program and BANKSETA learnerships

Johannesburg, 21 Jun 2006

Real People is now an active supporter of the unemployed graduate program, and hosts learners on BANKSETA Learnerships.

Real People, the largest non- private sector provider of financial products and services to the emerging market, is also one of the largest private sector employees in the Eastern Cape.

Real People has grown from 200 employees in 2000 to over 1000 employees in 2006. Real People is committed to providing sustainable jobs as well as job creation as the business grows, in the region.

"We are thrilled to be part of the Graduate Program" says Elize Nel, HR manager, Real People. Real People will take on 10 unemployed graduates, with relevant qualifications in a number of fields and provide a year long internship. This is a win-win situation both for the company to source new human capital and for the graduates to show their potential and contribute to the economy.

The Unemployed Graduate Program is a national initiative gaining momentum across South Africa.
