Human capital solutions company Swicon360 has released business process outsourcing (BPO) services in support of the SAP ERP HCM application.
According to Swicon360, the HCM Spectrum in the Cloud service makes it the only SAP-certified provider of BPO services headquartered in Africa.
Swicon360 CEO Markus Bucher says effective recruitment, skills development, and the successful management of human resources is arguably the most influential aspect of national business today. “We have introduced a solution that takes HCM to a new level in making services available as a virtual and easily accessible platform,” he explains. This was done in association with SAP and Vodacom Business, he adds.
Bucher notes that cost often presents a barrier to entry into the market, and a hurdle for smaller organisations in truly gaining the advantages of a well-organised, effectively utilised HR component.
According to Bucher, HCM Spectrum in the Cloud enables organisations to access innovative practices in HCM. “This allows clients to access the capabilities of SAP ERP HCM without making large upfront investments in hardware and infrastructure.”
Bucher says the HCM Spectrum in the Cloud offering represents the advancement of local business and the ability of decision-makers to embrace innovation and the roll-out of future service distribution and delivery.
software-as-a-service applications in the cloud a reality for all customers.
“We believe the future of computing is cloud computing - applications that can be hosted anywhere, as long as they can be accessed remotely via a trusted and reliable network,” says Steven Hayward, Vodacom Business executive director.
“Virtualisation and cloud computing are fundamental to the delivery of applications and services to key markets,” he says
Hayward adds that the opportunity to partner with Swicon360 formed a key part of its planning. “It would enable us to provide SAP managed hosting services to our intended market and at the same time make Vodacom Business the only service provider of its kind in Africa.”
