Sybase's business process management and enterprise application integration solution, Integration Orchestrator, has been named "Editor's Choice" in Network Computing after a rigorous enterprise application integration (EAI) suite review.
Each product was assessed for ease of use, functionality, deployment, management and price. Sybase's integration technology triumphed over four competing EAI products including BEA Systems, IBM, TIBCO and Vitria.
"Sybase Integration Orchestrator is a masterful stroke in the EAI realm, blending cutting-edge Web services technology with tried-and-true open transport concepts on a hub-and-spoke architecture," says Don MacVittie, contributing editor, Network Computing. "Dollar for dollar, it delivers more functionality and better management capabilities at a quarter of the cost of any other product we tested, earning it our Editor's Choice Award."
The product, which now also supports HP-UX and IBM-AIX in addition to Microsoft's Windows and Sun's Solaris, has earned enough respect from the publication to be installed at its NWC LAB, where it will be used to support a virtual enterprise.
"Sybase is dedicated to bringing total business integration to the enterprise, and the release of Sybase Integration Orchestrator 4.0 for HP-UX and IBM-AIX confirms our commitment to the Real-Time Services solutions," says Nick Warren, integration product manager at Sybase in SA. "We are very pleased that independent assessments of our integration technology have validated its ease of use, management and design capabilities, and unbeatable ROI."
Sybase Integration Orchestrator's open, standards-based technology enables incremental deployment of projects, speeding overall time-to-deployment and reducing project risk. It also supports store-and-forward/message queuing and targeted messaging - a feature that delivers rapid execution of time-critical transactions, and one hailed by Network Computing as a "stand out from the crowd".
