ProScan Systems, sole distributor in SA for Intermec Technologies Corp, announced today that Synertech has been appointed as an Intermec RFID authorised partner, which enables the company to add value to its data collection expertise by incorporating RFID technology.
Synertech, an established Intermec Honours Partner, underwent a rigorous qualification and training process that authorises it to resell Intermec RFID products and services and to specify Intermec RFID solutions. The company will work directly with ProScan Systems and Intermec to assist customers to develop comprehensive plans for adding radio frequency identification (RFID) capabilities to their supply chain and logistic operations in southern Africa.
RFID complements current barcode-based tracking systems, allowing companies to automatically track inventory throughout an entire supply chain. Intermec RFID products and services already are at work throughout the world, deployed in wide-ranging applications that include inventory and asset management, access control, compliance tracking, and personnel and vehicle identification.
