T-Mobile unveils MyTouch 3G
T-Mobile has unveiled its second Android phone, the MyTouch 3G, says GearLog.
Based on the Google Ion/HTC Magic platform, the MyTouch 3G is a touch-screen, slab-style smartphone with improved multimedia features, Microsoft Exchange support, and some applications that will be exclusive to T-Mobile.
"This is our next Android phone. It continues our leadership with Android and the partnership that we've established with Google," T-Mobile CTO Cole Brodman said.
Toshiba 1GHz smartphone runs Windows
The Toshiba-Docomo T-01A 1GHz smartphone has arrived. A Japanese telecommunications carrier is the first to unveil the device based on Qualcomm's much-anticipated Snapdragon processor, reports CNET News.
Docomo is now offering the T-01A in Japan, while Microsoft is pitching the phone on its Japanese Web site.
This would mark the first commercially available product using the Snapdragon chip, a Qualcomm spokeswoman confirmed.
Yamaha releases MusicCAST 2
MusicCAST 2 is the second iteration of Yamaha's digital-audio-streaming platform, and it enters a product category with several recommendable products such as the Sonos BU150, Logitech Squeezebox Duet, and Apple TV, writes CNET News.
The Network Music Commander is a touch-pad-style remote with a colour LCD screen that gives the user full control over their digital music; it's very similar to Sonos' Controller.
The amplified network music players allow users to simply connect a pair of speakers to enable music streaming to any room within their WiFi network.
