IT and communications services and solutions provider T-Systems SA has appointed Yusuf (Joe) Patel as its GM for sales and service management for the public sector.
Patel has been actively involved in the ICT industry since 1977, at Denel Informatics, Dion Stores, AST and ICL.
Before the appointment, he was the business unit manager for service management at T-Systems.
"We feel confident that Joe will make significant strides in growing our public sector business. He offers so much valuable experience and insight into the IT and telecommunications industry that will undoubtedly stand our efforts in good stead," says Mardia Van Der Walt-Korsten, acting CEO of T-Systems SA.
Commenting on his appointment, Patel says he will focus his efforts on penetrating and growing T‑Systems` public sector business; establishing the company as a force to be reckoned with.
"My motto has always been: 'failing to plan is planning to fail`, which is why this new position offers so many new and terrific challenges and opportunities that I intend to meet," he says.
