TallyCom, official vendor of Tally products in SA, has announced the appointment of Printer Parts Africa (PPA) as its authorised spares distributor (ASD). Based in Johannesburg, PPA is a nationwide distributor of leading-brand printer spares and parts.
"Our agreement to carry Tally parts is a valuable addition to our product range," says Zain Amod, PPA director. "PPA serves almost 300 regular customers and our new Tally range will be offered to these companies as well as other Tally users and service providers at very competitive prices."
"The availability of parts and materials is crucial to the success of any product in the market, including printers. TallyCom needs to ensure that it has sufficient authorised service providers to maintain Tally printers, as well as a reliable supplier of spares that could ensure availability and prompt delivery to customers all over the country," notes TallyCom`s GM, David Terry.
To keep stock at agreed-upon levels, a shipment of parts is delivered to PPA each week. "At any given time, PPA has around R2 million in spares and components in its warehouse," adds Amod. "Our stock levels permit us to provide overnight delivery, in most instances, anywhere in the country."
This immediacy is possible due to the use of courier services to move stock from PPA`s Johannesburg warehouse to its customers. "Service providers are able to rely on PPA and guarantee their service level agreements, assured in the knowledge that any parts they need are available," continues Amod. "With Tally`s Web ordering facilities we are able to order stock from Europe and have it delivered within seven to ten days."
PPA`s 24-hour delivery service is not merely a marketing gimmick but an added service to the TallyCom channel. Ensuring there are sufficient parts at acceptable cost is critical to all Tally support and warranty services in the country and allows the company`s channel to function more efficiently and serve its customers better.
