Tarsus Technologies has announced an upgrade of its HP configuration centre, now allowing resellers to use the facility for the pre-configuration of HP`s high-end HP EVA storage solutions and range of blade infrastructure servers.
Says Terence Barter, HP Product Manager at Tarsus Technologies, "With the upgrade of our configuration centre to support three-phase power, we have added another valuable service to our reseller base."
Since the creation of its configuration centre, Barter says Tarsus has received very positive feedback from its resellers. "Customer server rooms and data centres are fighting for floor space. As such, it has become increasingly difficult for resellers to configure servers and storage solutions at customer sites. And since higher end systems generally come with a great deal of packaging and additional components, this space problem is only compounded.
"With the configuration centre available to resellers, configuration tasks have become far easier and quicker, with help on-hand from Tarsus`s in-house technical specialists adding to the overall efficiency of resellers. Once configuration tasks are complete, resellers have the option of using Tarsus`s delivery infrastructure," Barter continues.
"Currently, we are leading the race in value-added services," Barter says. "At the moment we are the only distributor in South Africa to offer three-phase power in our configuration centre and the required floor space for configuration tasks to take place. The loyalty of resellers is testimony to the improvement this has made in their ability to deliver on customer expectations," he concludes.
