Tarsus Technologies has powered up the local mobile accessory market with the announcement of a new line of USB Mobile Phone Chargers from American Power Conversion (APC).
The APC USB Mobile Phone Charger is PC- and Mac-compatible and allows users to charge mobile phones through any USB port. The process is quick and convenient, with no software and driver required.
"It is simply a matter of connecting up to any USB port and using this connection to charge your mobile phone. APC`s USB Mobile Phone Chargers eliminate the need for bulky transformers or power adapters while you travel. It is possible to charge a cellphone and notebook when only one outlet is available," says Darryl Squara, APC product manager at Tarsus Technologies, the value-add distribution arm of JSE-listed MB Technologies.
"Numerous devices are now offering USB connectivity, and this is yet another example of the versatility of this USB Mobile Phone Charger."
Weighing in at a mere 135 grams, the APC USB Mobile Phone Charger is compatible with a wide range of Alcatel, Ericsson, Motorola, NEC, Nokia, Panasonic and Siemens cellphones.
The charger is expected to retail for around R175.
