Acer recently updated its mobile product line with new, faster, more efficient and lower cost offerings designed to meet the demands of businesses requiring mobile services without breaking the bank.
After the successful launch of its Acer line of business earlier this year, Tarsus is set to deliver the latest line of products to its channel customers. "The latest in Acer`s line-up is sure to extend our reach further into the Acer channel over the remainder of the year," says Traci Maynard, Acer product manager at Tarsus. "The new Acer products that will be hitting the market include three new laptop ranges aimed at the low- to high-end market."
The all-in-one Acer TravelMate 230 mobile PC combines outstanding connectivity with efficient performance and affordable price points, wrapping essential computing tools into one convenient package. Streamlined yet sturdy, the TravelMate 230 is suited for work wherever you go. In fact, it`s the right answer to your mobile computing needs.
Targeting the education, SOHO and small or mid-size offices, the TM230 notebooks include Mobile Intel Celeron 1.7GHZ or 2GHz Processors with a 400MHz processor system bus speed, 256MB DDR SDRAM, 20 or 30GB hard disk drive and CD-ROM or DVD/CDRW combo drive options with a 14.1-inch TFT display. At a retail price from R11 495 including VAT, this series is an affordable, yet powerful combination that replaces the highly successful TravelMate 225 series.
Second on the list of newcomers is the TravelMate 280 Series, which replaces the TravelMate 270 series. "This mobile PC is specially designed for high-intensity work, helping you to handle the assortment of demanding projects you face, with speed and efficiency. The well-balanced TravelMate 280 delivers optimum all-in-one convenience, at a retail price point from an unbelievable R14 995 including VAT," says Maynard.
The TM 280 series is configured with a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor - M at 1.8GHz and 2GHz with a 30GB or 40GB hard disk drive, 256Mb RAM and 15-inch TFT screen. It also incorporates a DVD/CDRW combo drive.
Finally, Maynard adds that the TravelMate 530 is an excellent example of how Acer is meeting the needs of today`s mobile professionals. Media capabilities, well thought-out connectivity options, ample power and superb styling, combined in an all-in one package. The TravelMate 530 is also a powerful mobile PC for dynamic individuals in a dynamic marketplace, a machine that is everything it`s cracked up to be - and then some!
With it`s manageable size and weight, and highly efficient use of the latest technology, places the TM 530 at the forefront of sensible mobile PC design. The TM 530 series provides some serious capacity for professionals handling multiple applications, while also welcoming users` changing needs head on.
An optional Acer EasyPort gives users the ability to take connectivity to yet another level. With a complete set of I/O ports including PS/2 ports for a mouse and keyboard. The EasyPort doesn`t overlook anything. In addition to the one already built in to the TM 530, the EasyPort also provides an S-video out (NTSC/PAL), available for applications requiring TV monitor display.
Sporting a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor - M at 2GHz or 2.4GHz, the TM 530 series has two hard drive options (30GB and 40GB) as well as DVD/CDRW combo. A 15-inch TFT screen rounds out this top-of-the-line system, which starts at a retail price point of R17 995 including VAT.
