TCM launches LANSA e-Payment integrator

New product enables real-time secure processing of e-Payments
Johannesburg, 23 Apr 2003

TCM has launched LANSA e-Payment Integrator, a total e-payments solution enabling merchants to conduct secure online, real-time transactions for all applications and industries. While the primary solution focuses on credit card processing, other payment instruments such as PIN-secured debit cards, stored-value cards and loyalty card redemptions are also supported by the technology.

TCM marketing executive Jorge de Campos said LANSA e-Payment Integrator offers a secure, easy-to-integrate and scalable e-payment solution to organisations involved in e-Sales Web site environments; call-center operations; Mail Orders and Telephone Orders (MOTO); recurring payment agreements; Interactive Voice Response (IVR); Voice Recognition (VR); EDI order entry; browser and Windows-based Point-of-Sale (POS) devices; and ERP application order capture. The main focus is on "card-not -present" transactions.

The credit-card payment can be initiated either by the consumer`s Web browser or by data entry details captured from a mail or telephone order. LANSA e-Payment Integrator supplies real-time acceptance or rejection feedback from the merchant`s acquiring bank or financial institution, while also supporting the merchant`s administration duties including transaction authorisation, logging, voids and refunds.

LANSA co-operated with several partners to deliver its e-Payment Integrator solution including Dialect Solutions Group using highly regarded, proven QSI Technologies payment architecture, MasterCard International and Authorised QSI Payment Service providers.

"We are excited to work with LANSA, as they bring a special value add with IBM AS/400 and iSeries expertise," said de Campos.

Customer John Wiley & Sons Australia Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of John Wiley & Sons Inc. of New York and leading publisher of educational and non-fiction titles in the Asia Pacific region, has already implemented the LANSA e-Payment Integrator application in a live environment.

"Using LANSA we are in a position to rapidly deliver solutions and easily integrate new technologies, such as LANSA e-Payment Integrator, into our system," says Richard Ciechanowski, Manager Information Technology, John Wiley Australia.

"LANSA e-Payment Integrator lets us access our Java-based payment solution directly from our Synon, RPG and LANSA applications. This allows us to respond more quickly to the needs of customers and more properly target our customer base. LANSA helps us to make it happen and to stay in front."
